Our Mission
We are mission-driven. We believe a living wage and job security are the first steps to real healing. With every purchase you are helping support and improve the lives of survivors of gender-based violence in Cape Town, South Africa, who we hire, train and offer full-time employment to. Our mission is to provide stable and uplifting employment as only part of our vision for a better future. Under our program, "From Aidan with Love", we also donate tufting kits to youth arts programs and non-profits. Contact us for a donation consideration.
Our Story
Tuft Love is a sister company of Spinnekop which creates and distributes rugs globally made by survivors of gender-based violence in the Kensington community of Johannesburg, South Africa. Zahier and Geoff are childhood friends from South Africa and social activists who were looking for a way to uplift their community.
They found tufting to be a great way to sustainably support their local mission while teaching people of the world the art of rug making. As a way to continue growing this support, Tuft Love was born out of Colorado, USA, where Geoff resides.
Tuft Love honors one of the founders of modern tufting; the late Mr. Mohan Lal Saini, who made the beautiful art of rug making possible for the world.
